write down all the things that’s keeping you from being happy, go through them one at a time, and you’ll find the reason for keeping them there, is you. yep…you!

of course some things happen that’s out of your control, but it’s up to you to control how it affects you, and prayer is the key. prayer gives you knowledge, knowledge creates options, with options comes solutions, and there’s plenty of solutions to fix any problem.

if you want the results of your blessings to be complete and effective, you have to be very patient, think positive, and make complete and effective changes in your lifestyle. though some changes maybe tough, you can and will change them, completely and effectively. those changes are not optional, but staying unhappy…is optional.

happiness is not a gift, it’s a choice, so if you want to be happy…you will be happy (smile). love ya!

it’s black history month…so now what? we have been free and informed for years now, yet we continue to hang on to what was. i know history is important, but it seems we only use it as a crutch to hide behind our laziness to continue the movement of equality. there’s so much work to done, we have the blue print to get it done, but we need to make room for our young men and women, and their fresh ideas.

it’s the same voices speaking for black America, and in some cases, job well done. but it’s a new day, with new and young positive voices needing to be heard. so i say to the old and traditional voices of black America, you have done well, i would not have the freedom to blog if it wasn’t for your blood sweat and tears.

now it’s time to share the spotlight with the new voices of black America…the next you. remember when you were on fire to be heard,  now they’re on fire, and want to be heard. you have taught them well, the history and spirit of their ancestors is in their blood now, so have faith in them as someone had faith in you.

we know who we are, we know there’s lots of positive young men and women ready and willing to take us to that next level, we haven’t gone since the 60’s. so dont allow the media to manipulate the minds of those who see our youth as troubled.

when  we have the next march, movement, or major event where justice is needed,  and our voices heard, let’s spotlight the new voices of black America, and not be afraid or too selfish to pass the baton.

it’s black history month…so now?  it’s time to make, then add new history, and we’ll have more history.  so let’s get busy. i smiled as i wrote this, so smile as you do this (smile).

like you

Posted in: Uncategorized

food for thought.  if  GOD  gave you a chance to be like someone else, would you choose to be like you ?  I’m not looking for a response, that’s between you and GOD.  if the answer is no, here’s something fantastic…it’s never too late to start now.

stop worrying about looking sexy, and be sexy, because sexappeal is what you are, not how you look.

when you realize it’s more important feel beautiful, than look beautiful…you are beautiful.

intellect is knowledge of GOD and self.  so stop focusing on what you don’t know, expand and perfect what you do know, then growth and prosperity will come naturally.

when you stop looking to be loved, it’s easier to love yourself.  it’s not selfish when you take time to find and love yourself, it’s wise. loving yourself helps you love others.

don’t worry about having alot, thank GOD and take care of what you got. ( you like that rhyme..lol.)

make being monogamous about you, not your mate. at the end of the day, you have to face GOD for your infidelity, not your mate. and how cool is it to know you’re faithful, than to pretend you are.

eat healthy and stay fit, to stay alive. make that the reason you’d like to be admired.

i can go on and on, but here’s what this food for thought is about.  if you stop telling yourself what you’re not, and be the best at what you are, it’s best…. to be like you. (smile)

you ever notice how we can talk ourselves in to doing things we know we shouldn’t do?  think about all those times your gut feeling said, “don’t do it!” , but your flesh said ….do it, i need it!

I’ve realized it works the same way if you choose to make better choices. when you truly desire to do what’s right, you can and you will.

for every excuse your flesh gives you to go outside of what you know is wrong, immediately think of all the benefits you’ll get, doing what your heart knows is right and good for the soul.

when you’re in a situation that gives your flesh temporary relief, immediately think of all the self-respect that’s lost.

i agree its a good thing to pray for strength in comprimising positions, but the same strength you’re praying for, God has already put…”within”.  so remember, in your toughest and most vulnerable situations, when you need strength..look “within”.

i heard a minister say, ” if you’re good, you’re good to be around “, so how cool is it, that your presence make others feel good. how cool is it, that your presence brings comfort to others, in this discomforting world.  how cool is it,  that your sweet spirit, softens hard hearts.  how cool is it, that you shed light on the darkness situations.   how cool is it, that when you come around, you turn frowns upside down.

“if you’re good, you’re good to be around”, so how cool is it, that someone needs to hear your voice right now, because you always have something good to say.  how cool is it, that even on your bad day, you’re a good friend.  how cool is it, that your smile, warms cold hearts, because your agenda is always about love. how cool is it, that you love yourself the way you are, and it helps others love themselves, the way they are.

‘if you’re good, you’re good to be around”, so how cool is it, that you never judge anyone, but understands the grace of God, and believe all can be good, if they choose to.  how cool is it, to be good for someone. how cool is it, that you smile, hug, and love all that you greet. how cool is it, that all who know you, is better because of you. how cool is it, that someone is eating and has shelter, because of your helping hand. how cool is it, that you make the best of what you have, and don’t let what you don’t have stress you.

i heard a minister say, ” if you’re good, you’re good to be around “, so it’s gotta be good..being you.

whats the real reason we go all out for x-mas?  ask yourself this, be real and honest, beacuse thats the only way you can except the truth.  we start this “going all out thing” with our children on their 1st birthday. we gave them celebrations they”ll never remember, at all.  lets be honest, i know i dont remember my 1st bday party. do you?

whats the real reason we go all out for x-mas?  how would you feel if everyone but you,  got a gift on your birthday?  not too good.  God hates sin, and lying is a sin.  but we continue to lie to our kids as we celebrate the one that died,  beacuse of the many lies about Him.  and those same lies thousands of years ago,  continue to seperated from Jesus today.

yes its a beautiful feeling during the holidays, and yes,  most people are more open to give what they wont normally give.  but at the same time, the pain that comes with those who dont have to give to their loved ones, is far greater than the fun part of the holidays.  why is this?  its simple, there’s no good in sin, and lying is a sin.  even if the reason is for this season.

do your your research about x-mas, then decide how important is the love of God to you vs the real raeson we go all out for x-mas. and be honest with yourself, thats all God really wants from us.

not judging, just food for thought.

try your best not to invite bad spirits into your presence. some music, movies, places, people, even some clothes, can have bad spirits with them. if you’re asking, ” busta brown, how can clothes have a bad spirit with them”…lol. well if the designer’s agenda is to create lust when someone sees the clothes we wear, …thats it. lust is a sin in the eyes of GOD. i know there are times we can’t avoid being in the presence of bad spirits, because they’re in our workplace, malls, church, homes, schools, etc. so i offer you this, when you see someone that has a bad spirit on them , if you speek at or against them, it can jump into you. but when you pray for them or speak to their spirit, that’s the spirit of GOD, and GOD is GOOD. i didnt blog to judge, just food for thought.

here’s what i say to rainy days, let the blessings rain down on you. for those of us that are going thru something, any day GOD allows rain, look at as washing your pain away. close your eyes and think back to those days when you were a child, and you’d go outside and let it rain on your beautiful face. wow! remember how good and relaxing it was. i dare you to go for it! (smile)
