Voter fatigue is here again! “If I get another email from President Obama…..” That’s how I’m feeling right now along with NOT feeling all the negative ads clogging up all my favorite channels. And quit clogging my Facebook page telling me to vote early! I’m sick of the whole process. It’s all a game and we the people are the pawns, so why vote? That’s how I feel, but I’m not taking my “feelings” to the poll. I’m taking my right as a citizen of these United States. And I am one of the citizens whose vote help elect our first African-American President. Too many of our ancestors died to give me this right and priviledge. I WILL NOT LET THEIR DYING BE IN VAIN! Why Vote? That’s why!

Not only has Fall finally arrived…but so has the Homecoming season for many colleges and universities across North Carolina! From N.C. I love the change of the season from summer to fall. My youngest son will tell you he loves it too cause he don’t have to worry about cutting grass anymore til late spring! There’s something special about fall, and it ain’t just because it’s “football weather.” There’s a change in our spiritual mindset as we (or at least I) tend to reflect and meditate on my life, my current state of being and what the immediate future holds in store. Life tends to slow down just long enough for me to get a full grasp on it; long enough for God to get my full attention. Slow down, and enjoy the season……
