When I think of all the troubles and anxieties of this world, a strong belief in FAITH has never been more needed!! From Wars overseas and even right here at home with healthcare and the plummenting economy, not to mention domestic violence among couples and families, our faith gets pretty tested on a regular basis. But I take comfort in knowing that inner peace that will always remain from within. Matthew 7:7-8 states…’Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking and it will be opened to YOU. For everyone asking receives, and everyone seeking finds, and to everyone knocking it will be opened.’

Our faith never comes in short supply, but endures everlasting when we take the time to pray and meditate daily when problems arise in our lives. Even in these days of uncertainty my faith will not wane, and hoping yours will not either…here’s to ALL of us keepin the FAITH!!

Bishop Eddie Long is being accused of sexual abuse by three young men; Jesse Jackson Jr. caught cheating on his wife (according to TMZ.com). It’s too easy to point fingers at the accused, but why take the easy route? Take time to pray for them. Right or wrong they, like all of us are in need of prayer. It’s the only thing that changes things. Oh, and by the way, go to the good book and look at Galatians chapter 6….18 powerful verses that puts it all in perspective.

SO….before I fell asleep waiting for Kanye’s big performance on the VMA’s, I’d been channel-surfing and came across VH1’s “100 Greatest Artists of All Time”, which had probably been the eighth or ninth time it had aired. I happened to catch it in the last hour when they were at artist #7…Prince. Of course I was kicking myself that I’d missed such an interesting show, because I was sure there were some artists in the countdown that I was sure to debate (lol)! As they got to #6…Jimi Hendrix, I’m thinking, “Ok, this is pretty good, Michael Jackson BETTER be #1!!”. The usual suspects were in the top 5..The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan…then, Michael Jackson comes in at number 2….NUMBER 2?! WHAT?!?! At this point, I’m thinking, who could be better than Michael Jackson? Then they go to commercial…a break that seemingly takes FOREVER!!! Then FINALLY they get to it…the GREATEST artist(s) of all time…THE BEATLES! I breathe a sigh of relief….they’d be the only artist(s) that would keep me from jumping up and throwing my tv out of the window in disgust for such a bogus countdown.
